it's nice to meet you
In this, my first blog, I’m not quite sure how to introduce myself, so I’ll be cliché and start with the basics. I’m Rešoketšwe (or Shoki or Shoks), a poet, novelist & short story writer from a very small village in the breathtaking province of Limpopo, and I love everything that has to do with media and storytelling. I hope you join me on a journey of deep-dive analyses of fiction, current issues, a little bit of history, and that famous South African charm you’ve hopefully heard of.
It won’t always be fun; art is political, after all. But all the best stories take you on wild and unpredictable adventures that leave you a little breathless in the end, and a little more curious about the world than before.
